Sorry I haven't used Joomla 2.5 in 14 years. And Joomla 2.5 is no longer supported.
Sorry to be a little forceful but your site version is actually out of date (even for J 2.5). The last release is 2.5.28 . You have 2.5.11.
From your screenshot it seems you need to add an Article title, and category - those fields are marked with an asterisk * meaning "required field". That would be the only thing I can see from your screenshot that would prevent the article saving correctly (even if you can click the button it would soon tell you values for those two field (Article title and category) are missing. Perhaps some issue with your web browser like Javascript disabled? I'm not sure.
I'd suggest at the very least you get the 2.5.x updated to its last version.

But I would strongly recommend you actually update to J5.x because your hosting infrastructure to support Joomla 2.5 would also be well and truly obsolete and at a very high security risk. I can't believe your hosting company is using PHP 5.x at all!.
The migration process should be fairly straight forward:

Then

Then
