Thanks, i know it's also possible with Laragon which i see very promising but it's no longer updated by dev.With wamp you can change php versions, on the fly, without needing to reinstall wamp itself.
Anyway also on XAMPP is quite easy, just stop Apache web server, download the proper version from php.net, rename the actual php folder in php_old and create new php folder inside xampp folder, unzip the fresh downloaded installation in the php folder, copy all the files from php_old to php skipping the existing ones, restart Apache, that's it!
It's the usual way i do when i want to upgrade PHP version without reinstalling XAMPP.
I had to install latest version of XAMPP because the one i had installed was about of 2022 and the Apache web server was not so updated and had issues with PHP 8.3.x (no problems until using PHP 8.2.x).
